I recently came accross a Quadro DCC for a really great price. I know its meant to be used in a workstation, but knowing that its basically a Geforce 3, I thought I'd go ahead and use it as my primary gaming card. Trouble is, I can't seem to get a 3D image in any games. The card is fine in 2D, but as soon as I fire up a game or 3D mark, the screen freezes. I've been through 4 or 5 versions of the Detonators (29.xx and up) and have tried the card on 2 different motherboards, but no luck. I'm currently running on XP (other video cards work just fine, btw).

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

:) That will do it. I was just about to say the same thing that the Detonators were not for the Quadro.

Thank you. I'm sorry, I should have clarified a bit. I have several versions of Quadro certified drivers (even those that Elsa provided when the Quadro DCC was sold as the Gloria DCC) but they aren't producing any different result. This doesn't really seem like a hardware problem, as I'd guess that the card wouldn't post at all, but I'm not having any luck with software solutions either. Do I have a dead horse in my machine.. and if so, need I beat it any longer?

Well, since you've been through "five versions of Detonators" - you've probably got five generations of crap leftover from them. :p

Go search for "Nasty File Remover" and kill every nVidia file it finds.
