My friend told me that there is a device that lets you connect a Play Station Dual-Shock controller to a PC. Has anyone else heard of such a thing? If so, who makes em?

There is such a device, but I can't remember where I saw it at. It's been a while back. I will look and let you know what I find.

www.wishtech.com

They make an N64 controller adapter that is EXCELLENT. Its called the 'adaptoid' it plugs into your usb, and tada, it works. I have seen some for the playstation but they usually require drivers &/or you have to build it &/or its paralle or serial or gameport, not usb.

The best one I saw for playstation was a 'build it yourself' usb version.

Just get an n64 controller and adaptoid :)

I got the adapter this morning and hooked it up. It installed real easy. (Like a USB device should do) I tested it out by playing a little Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2, and it seems to work real well. The dual shock isn't to different from my gravis, but it feels a little higher quality, and I like the design of the d-pad better.

oh wow, it got cheap!@?!? i was looking before and they were all $40 imported :( You can make your own, but it's not win2k compatible :( and takes up a parallel port.

anyone know if the thing from easybuy2000 is win2k compatible?

I bought mine from that place I posted before:

http://www.consolesource.com/product_categories/adapter/PS-USB-CVT.htm

I had already ordered it when ApacheXMD posted his cheaper site. I looked around a little bit to see if I could find it from a place I have ordered from in the past, but I couldn't tell who made it, so I couldn't track it down very easy. Now that I have it, I can post who makes it, but I'm not at home right now.

On the other hand I didn't have any trouble ordering it from console source. They shipped it the next day and it worked when I got it.

I got mine from chipzone a few months back and have yet to try it. My cousin has all of my PSX equipment.
