OK, I am building a laptop for my senior project. I thought it daunting and impossible at first, but I came up with the following:
I can buy an old laptop screen for under $100. If somehow I can get that to connect to a TFT port on a computer, I can get my project done. If not, well, then too bad
Here are the rest of my specs:
Crusoe 800mHz transmeta processor
a PC/104+ form factor "motherboard" (these are 3/4" motherboards with built in memory and slots)
Some sort of microdrive. I'm not sure how I'm gonna do this part, but either way I'll have to figure something out.
Other than that, I only have to worry about keyboard. Does anyone know how I can get a plastic, empty laptop box (or smaller) with just the keyboard built in?
