Using 3rd party printer ink

Hi, I was wondering how safe it is to use 3rd party ink for my Epson Stylus C80. I got this uber cheap cartridge that costs like half the price of Epson's official ink, but it's made by some company I've never heard of called G&G. Should I use it or should I take it back and get some real ink?

I don't like generic ink as you risk wrecking your printhead I've heard. I just spend the money for piece of mind but I suppose some of the generic stuff out there is actually pretty darn good.

I started using generic ink on my Epson 600 about 3 years ago and now use generic ink on my 10 month old Epson C70(uses same ink as C80),I`ve never had any problems using them and the quality has been very good,so far I`ve tried about 5 different generic brands over the years and they`ve all been the same high standard printing wise.

The amount of money I`ve saved using generic ink over years is probably more then the cost of a new Epson printer.

🙂
