Using 2 soundcards?

I have digital Speakers, and a soundblaster live installed in my computer to support these. I also have an integrated sound card which does not support the digital speakers.

I went out and bought a headset/mic combo for use with TFC/CS:S. I would have to disconnect my speakers each time and connect the headset, then change settings to turn the live off of the digital setting and goto analog. I can plug the headset to the other soundcard and it works just find within windows but in TFC/CS:S it does not work because it's not my primary soundcard

Is there a way to have TFC/CS:S automatically use that 2nd soundcard instead of my primary one? Then I wont have to do any switching

Maybe you should post a link to this under a "Gaming" header in "Software".
Someone else that plays it might browse under "Software" & not here.

What would happen if you made your onboard sound card the default one under control panel?
