Dude, use your edit button. That's four posts with three of them basically talking about nothing but your performance.

Why am I not getting the performance then?
Often I get the fps but not the performance?
Sometimes, I neither get the fps nor the performance.

it could prolly be ur chipset. The A8N-E is quite old.Try updating the bios and chipset to the latest version.
And what exactly do u mean by "stuttering"?
Is it like in some points of the games ur frame rates dip below the playable zone?Or is it like u press forward on the keyboard in a game and u move forward jerkily?Or is it something else?

Asus A8N is pretty common and I don't think that the mobo is incapable of delivering great performance. It has been quite some while since the time I updated my bios which is probably 1005. Do you think upgrading to 1013 can solve it? Should I?

I should not say stuttering, but choppy.
Even when fram rates are decent I may still get the choppiness. And sometimes the fram rates do dip to the 20x and 30s.

For those seconds , yes, it is not playable had the performance been like that through out.

Yes, in AOE3 there is that on moving the mouse I many a times basically at fixed stetched points see the movement jerkily.

Also, another person with asus a8n e, 1800XT, amd 64 3000 could run many thing at max settings inc aa and af and after ocing to 2.4 he was smooth as silk with oblivion, fear and graw as well.

can somebody please solve my problem now?

There is somebody with amd 64 3000 +2gb + 1800XT 512 and his games run fine

Anyone wasting your time trying to help the OP should just give it up ... as he's proven in past threads this guy isn't interested in actually solving his problem, he's only seeking attention.

nfs:mw ran smooth, so does fear, completely same with bf2 60fps minimum unless ****** hits the fan, any game i throw at this beast it manhandles it like a prison b****. got one question, what are the temps your hitting with your x1900xt during gaming anyway?

that is, if you think you know how, listen, its not your cpu or your video card, anandtech and everyone else in the forums can prove that to you, and like your previous thread that the x1900xtx "sucks" and everyone flamed you because you didnt know what you were doing, and got banned from another forum proves you werent listening to anyone. i have one question, have you upgraded your psu and if you have, how many watts is it, and whats the amperage to your video card, because from that thread you've had the same problem. i dont, i have a 17a seasonic, and it gives up to 19a, i have NO stuttering and NO slowdown unless its because im overwhelming my computer in a whole. oh and not to mention, that my cpu isnt all that much faster than yours too. so i would be having the same problem if my cpu is a bottleneck. so obviously its not your cpu. and like i asked, if your temps are getting wayyyy outta hand, then maybe its cuz of that....though its unlikely.

Please tell me what should I do?

Then prove it by taking some of the advice you've been given instead of asking the same questions over & over in redundent threads.

that would be start y'know, i noticed not long ago, there were 3 threads, all the same thing, all started by him. i was thinking, wtf, if one doesnt solve it, then obviously nobody's gonna help you if you make 3 of them. all im doing is giving him hints on how to solve it at the most, im not going to tell him what to do at all. screw that, its pointless.

I am telling you, I had this exact same problem with my 3400+ and X1800XT, and that's a much smaller difference than there is between a 3000+ and X1900XT. I overclocked my CPU to 3700+ speeds and suddenly all stuttering in my games disappeared and framerate increased so sharply it was visible during play.

Overclock your CPU and see if there is a noticable difference. If there isn't then I will be the first to hold my hands up and say that isn't the problem, but if there is then you can be happy with more performance and possibly buy a faster CPU to see if it helps even more.

If you're running in resolutions like 1024x768 and 1280x960 then it will be even worse, the X1900 isn't even stretching its legs at that resolution. You have to get that card panting and sweating.

He has been given all of this advice in his infamous X1900XTX is Crap thread. Obviously, he didn't listen to anyone. He was told to update all of his drivers, bios, etc. And he hasn't. Gosh, he just updated to CCC 6.5 when 6.7 is out. This individual is absolutely hopeless.

well i have a athlon 64 3500, and i run at 1600x1200 with absolutly no suttering in any game. so its not the cpu. trust me. even at lower resolutions im getting NO suttering. the only thing i do get at ultra high resolutions, is framerate loss, down into the 40-60's.

The reason for this thread is that you famously made a thread saying the X1900XT-X was crap, and was educated about how your CPU is an insane bottleneck. I don't think you'll get many replies because not many people are stupid enough to pair an X1900 series card with a 3200+ POS.

There wasent a bottleneck damnit!! He was just using a crappy demo game as an example of X1900 performance.

hey i got a question, new one that is for my own, i got atitool and for some reason if i let it idle, it downclocks my video card....got an answer for that? i've looked at the settings and i cant find anything that would make it do that

One simple question to the OP about F.E.A.R, are you using a no-cd patch or something, I noticed quite a bit of degradation in performance when I used it, so now I just leave the DVD in the drive when I play it. With Most Wanted the forest section is a bit slow on my system at 100% details on 1024x768 (4x AA/16x AF).

Also from what I have noticed in all your threads, you are extremely sensitive towards frame rates. Most people here don't care if there are few slowdowns at high resolutions, AA/AF settings. If you are extremely sensitive towards frame rates just turn your resolution down, I like fluid frame rates in Most Wanted that is why I run it at 1024x768 despite having a powerful card which should run it at 1280x1024. So set the detail level to what you are comfortable with not what everybody is playing it. Remember we play play games to enjoy them, not see if they are running at xyz settings. Many people here are happy with their 6600GTs 6800GTs 7800GTs X800s, so consider yourself fortunate and start enjoying your card by setting the detail levels on your games to level that gives you the frame rates you are looking for.

So just because you bought the most expensive/powerful graphics card available doesn't mean it will power all released games at outrageous settings, if you are not satisfied just wait for the next generation, it will be better, you can count on it.
