User Ratings!!!

Do random AT'ers go around voting users and giving out 1's? I had a nice perfect rating of 10 (2 votes of 10 ) and now I have a 7 because someone voted me a one! Well, actually- not that I care much, but I know I didn't do anything to anybody to merit a 1. I try to be a nice guy. Oh well.

I wouldn't give your rating a second thought. In my opinion, ratings are completly meaningless. If you notice, when you click on someones profile and you haven't rated them, 1 is the DEFAULT selection... makes it too easy for someone to just zap you with a 1, hehe.

I've also noticed that most people don't bother to rate you until you're in a heated debate in some thread and you've pissed some people off... (well, that's my case ) That's when I usually see I've gotten a few more votes, and my rating falls further. hehe
I can't remember when I saw my rating go up any. I think it's around 4.5 these days... I should be in the 3's before spring. LOL

The best way to lower your rating is to post something like this.

10s or 1s, no real meaning. We should rate 1-100 with names attached to the rating number given and then maybe it would be worth something.

Bet there would be a lot of 69 ratings given

It's a known fact that anyone who complains about their rating will be hit with lots of 1's. Start a new post about your rating and watch it now drop from your current 4 to a 2. The people on this board have better things to do than listen to someone complain about a rating, which doesn't mean anything. You deserve the 1 I gave you!

Ratings are absolutely meaningless except for the ForSale/Trade Forum.

As a protest, I simply disabled mine and refuse to rate anyone anymore.
