I think this thing is badly used. I am currently involved in heated discussion in the general hardware forum, and due to the fact that I am presenting views that some people may not like, I have gotten 3 votes @ 1.0 !! what is that about?
Do you think people vote for someone simply because they dont like their certain views? im not degrading anyone or anything, just presenting my views and facts on the nvidia v ati arguement....
crazy stuff.

If I can be serious for a moment, I agree the ratings system is often used incorrectly dependant on a few comments in one thread. But still, do you expect people on the internet to rate you according to MORE than 1 post?

Thats the reason why I turn it off. When I´m GW helping people and posting news my rating goes up, when I rant about the US in OT then my rating goes down. Just for expressing my views.
 
Ive been posting for quite a while now all under the same name, had myself be able to be rated for the entire time ive been a member, and just now, people all the sudden started rating me, just because i was in disagreement with them. I just personally think its a misused system altogether... a few bad apples spoil the bunch. 🙁
 
I never put to much emphasis on what my rating is. I could care less what other people think of me, plus of the issue you are talking about right here. But this is the first time I think I've seen somebody bitch about the ratings system, and then everybody give him a 10.
 
hello if you rated intake you saw he's in ct usa, if i turneed my ratings on theyd go all over, cause here soem days i nef others i lurk others im cool, but in GH i ask alot of questions, but if its a depate i get vicious so it'd be interesting if i turned on ratings

yeah, i wasnt asking for getting 10s i was just asking what people thought about the system as a whole.
EDIT:I just turned off my ratings so no one can say that that was the reason of the post
 
uhh but im not in a pizza mood today, all i want to,do today is go see my Gf. . but i can't, , , , oh wait any ways yeah the rating system is wierd. .
 
i'm only bitching becuase my rating is low, but yes, you usually only get BAD ratings.....if you get into an arguement, people retaliate by giving you 1's, and that kinda sucks 😛
