User Rating

Ive only been a member now for a month or so. I found out by accident that 4 people have left negative feed back. My user rating is 1. I think its a bad idea to have people post possible slanderous statements about other members whithout that member being able to rebut or refute their statements. How does a person go about finding out the people who leave negative feedback???

you shouldn't worry about it really but it can be disabled in your profile if necessary.

there are a lot of users that won't enable it for the same reason

In my opinion the user rating on AT is pointless. You say one thing that someone disagrees with and you get a 1. The actual rating serves no point and anyone that measures a member's status by these ratings needs to reconsider and do some research on their own.

Also complaining about your rating will result in more members rating you, but, in general, this leads to several comments such as:

You're number 1 in my book.

How giving a user on an anonymous account on an internet message board a 1 in his user rating a "slanderous statement?" You get a 1 from me for starting such a dumb thread. Please don't sue me for slander. 😛

See the little pair of glasses in right hand corner (next to pm icon, the online/offline lightbulb icon etc?). Click that. 🙂

<Edit> You need to go into your profile and enable them in order yo see user rating.

I actually had a really good rating! There was this thread title "Anyone actually have a decent rating"... I stupidly posted with pride that my rating was above 8 🙂, I sank rather fast after that... now it's disabled, because that feature really has no use to me, nor to anyone else on the forums IMHO.

AT Ratings suck (at least mine did, until I disabled it 😉). For the place where ratings matter (FS/FT), you can use heatware.

Just disable it.
It's just for fun anyway.

Lets just say I think your lucky that user ratings can't go into negative numbers. 🙂

People only leave feedback when you piss hem off. just igrnore it.
