USELESS POLL: Do you think there should be a standard for smiley faces?

No Lifer
I'm being serious. I hate it when I try to put in a smily face or some other emotion for AIM and it ends up not working :|

Well the basic ones are pretty much standard, aren't they? Personally I hate when people put noses on their smiley faces 🙂 . Just use a colon and closed paren and be done with it. Smiley, wink, toungue, shocked, big grin, and frown are all pretty much standard I think, everything else should be the word enclosed by :colons:

But yes I hate it when smilies don't work on certain boards. Like on this this board you have to put a colon at the beginning and a semi-colon at the end of an emotion word. 😕 Err-, I mean 😕

🙂😉🙁😱:disgust:😀:|:Q😛😎:frown:😕

If there is a standard, then who decides which is standard?
some people like 🙂, others like 8), even more like 😎, or 🙂
The creativity is part of it.

We should create an FAI(Forums Addicted's Institutes) standards and everyone should go by that rule for standard smiley codes

smiley goes here
xW-y
Anyone who qualify as an ultra nef may write "Elite nef"

x=hrs/day you spend in front of your computer on cold days
y=hrs/day you spend in front of computer on regular days

you guys decide the codes.
