I'll clearing some space by selling some shit on TradeMe (pretty much like eBay but with 75% less ugly) and remembering why I don't usually bother with this shit.

One guy bought a video card off me last Tuesday, sent his delivery address, but the money never made it to my account and the douche isn't emailing me back. Obviously I haven't sent the card away and I'll have to relist it.

I just sold a couple of PC games and immediately got the email from douchebag #2 saying
Hi there, Great that I won your auction! I'll put the money in on monday if thats alright with you. Thanks

No, the buyer is in New Zealand and this happened today. Not sure what you don't understand about this 😕 I'll try to make it clear: approximately 4 hours ago at 6pm, Monday night, the guy won the auction and immediately sent me the email about paying on Monday. Seeing as how my only accepted payment method is a bank transfer, it would be impossible for him to achieve this if he meant today. So he's paying 1 (one) week from today.

By the way, why do you assume we knew it was a bank transfer? I have never used a bank transfer and most auction users wouldn't consider that the "norm".

It could have been Paypal/Google Checkout'ed into your account at any time.

Yeah it does matter. Maybe you are the slow one.

It's not even 7AM here on Monday. That would mean that the buyer would of sent the mail on Sunday most likely meaning he'd send payment today, Monday. Making you wait all of 1 day.

Plus even if we did do the math since you are in vegimite-new-zealand-rock-land-country, it still would of been plausible due to the above. 0.o

quite the opposite... where you are, and where the buyer is is QUITE relevant to the story.

You posted that the buyer couldnt pay till monday. Where the forum readers are is SUNDAY.. so you come off sounding like an ass cuz you couldnt wait 6 hours for payment.

It's also possible that he's out of school or something, and isn't concerned about the day of the week - bought the thing, thinking it was Sunday, and said he'd get the payment out Monday, which in his mind would be the next day.

I don't know how likely it is...but, you know. Possible.

Which means on the US East Coast, you posted your original message on very early Monday morning. If the receiver is anywhere to the west, ie mountain or pacific time zones, it will still be Sunday night. Thus, today you may get the money, and otherwise you should ask for the date of the Monday he will send it out before ranting to a group of unforgiving, sarcastic, yet still logical geeks.
