well i take a 15 minute show and plan on keeping things that way
so you can save all the water you want but i will use it if you dont,
so you might as well just use all that water

Haha i have an apartment and my bill is predetermined.

So i drilled out my showerheads restrictor plate. To wake up sometimes i'll take like an hour shower, just lay there and take a nap. Just think i probably use more water in a month than a house, but why not, i pay less a gallon the more i use...

Depends on the size of the bathtub and how full the person wants the tub to be. Significantly more than 60 gallons would be my guess though.

It would depend on the shower. Power showers use more than non power showers.

And the EPA says:

26. How much water is used in the average five-minute shower?
15-25 gallons

USGS says 2 gallons/minute :Q
Some other site says 2.5gallons/minute.

Than I guess my shower head must be broke.
If I go for 15 minutes (which is actually pretty long for me) my 40 gallon tub doesnt even get half full.

I tried it once wit the plug in.
To answer the next question: Because I was bored and wondered how much water I used.

Ya know, that Good Eats episode didn't do anything for me, since he didn't COOK anything!

That said, the Vanilla episode afterwords was awesome. Creme Brulee with a blowtorch FTW! :D

Depends on your water pressure and how much flow your showerhead allows. A new low-flow head will be 2-2.5 gallons a minute. The older heads it could be as much as 5 gallons a minute, instead of 25 gallons it could be over 50.

If you're male and you shower for 15 minutes, you are retarded.

If you're female and you shower for 15 minutes, you're also retarded, unless you're washing [long] hair or something.

How the hell is 15 minutes an average shower... does that mean a significant # of people take LONGER showers? holy crap! RIDICULOUS.

I can't even imagine what I'd do in the shower for 15 minutes. Because unless I'm using my feet to wash myself, there's no way it takes that long to apply shampoo and soap.
