Used to be elite..now I am behind... I want a fast socket 462 processor!

I have an Asus A7N8X-VM/400 mobo and an Athlon 1.4ghz Thunderbird. I want to upgrade to something faster (less than $100 shipped for cpu only)... I used to be very knowledgeable about AMD's latest and greatest...but I haven't kept up... so whats new with AMD I have heard mobile, barton, and other names..can someone help me figure out the scoop on AMD and whats my best Socket 462 processor for $100 shipped or less (used okay)

also, anyone know about overclocking options with this mobo? are there any?

Best Socket 462 are the Mobile Bartons, 2400+/2500+/2600+, and the lower 35W models are even better because they dissipate less heat.

These are also the most overclockable AMD 462 CPUs.

What kind of ram? Either way I would get a moblie 2500 for $88 and overclcok to 2500Mhz. this will double at least your system speed.
