Used/Leased Cars

I wanna buy a used car prob a Japanese. Tight on budget.
Whats up with leased cars. Is it possible to get a car use it for 9-12 months & return it.
Any suggestions!!

you can do that yeah, but you will pay through the nose to break out of the lease :D

there really isnt' any good way to buy a car for that little time and expect to come out ahead.. i guess you could BUY a car, and hope to sell for the same price you paid down the road.. sounds like a hassle though.

Check out swapalease.com or leasetrader.com. You might be able to pick up a lease that has about a year left on it.

EDIT: Oh and a 12 month lease from a dealer would be very expensive.

Leasing is fine if you don't drive much.
If you only want it for a year you are better off getting a cheap junker.

Just checked swaplease.com. I found a couple of them that had 10 odd months remaining. Theres a payment of $300 a month.
So do I pay 10*300 = $3000 and use a Mercendes Benz for 10 months ?

I hope you have phat credit rating or a lease is not for you. just a thought.

also if the lease ends when you are done you'll have to pay a turn in fee sometimes look for the fine print :p
