Use powerbook screen as screen for my PC?

Is it possible to connect my pc (9700pro) to my apple powerbook 1.3ghz and use its screen as the monitor for the pc. I'm in college and dont have room for my 17" monitor. Btw the powerbook has an svideo port. If so, would there be any downside (like low refresh rate). Basically I just wanna bring my pc to college so i can play hl2. Thanks!

There's some software that can do this (letting you use another networked computer's monitor as a display device; it's basically just VNC in reverse...); most laptops don't have a video input, so you couldn't run your S-Video out into it even if you wanted to (which you wouldn't; it would look like crap at anything over 640x480).

I don't know how well this would work (if at all) for gaming.
