Does any body know why i get only a solid gree n light on my floppy drive when trying to use the new style round cables some one said turn the plug over well I would do that but on the round cable there is a notch on the plug were on the flat ribbon there isnt a notch on the one end that hooks to the floppy drive any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks the Sandman

Been using round cables on my floppies for over two years. You need to look at the numbers on the wires and match them with the connector. Not all floppies have notch receptacles - but clearly, your needs reversing.

Good suggestion above - file the notch nub off of the plug. Then paint it and the receptacle so they will always ,ate correctly.
