Use of a Cingular Go Phone with Cingular SIM

Can you use a phone that is sold as a GoPhone for Cingular (prepaid) as a phone on a normal Cingular line by swapping the SIM card?

yes you can, my screen went out on my cingular phone, so I bought a $20 Go Phone, put my SIM in and it works fine.

Sure you can. I'm an agent and we do that quite often for customers. There are many farmers out here in Oklahoma that destroy their phones several times over throughout their two year contract. If you want a cheap phone that will work, a $30 Go-phone works pretty well.
