I think I got it, works for me anyhow:

/* blocks Rapid Submission ad */
body.ftbody tr td table[width="468"],

NICE work =p

On a side note, while adding this to block these ads in Firebird I noticed that the Application Data folder is still under Phoenix...I've never installed the older Phoenix on this machine, so that means Firebird still calls itself Phoenix deep inside... =p

Although practicality wise this was probably done just to keep old Phoenix settings when upgrading, but still interesting =p

Exactly. Although I personally find the placement of the folder a little annoying, so I put my profile in a more accessible place.

How can I get my PM icon back?

Remove the following from the file:

/* blocks poll/pm icons */
body.ftbody center > table[cellpadding="3"] tr > td > table[cellpadding="0"] tr td a img[align="middle"],

I already tried that, it didnt do anything.

Half the stuff I remove it does not change it. Like the underline link stuff etc

Did you save the file, then restart Firebird?

LOL yeah what he said ^^
=p

Dark Night theme in profile = No dealfinder.

One of the many ways in which it looks better than the default color scheme.

Man...the forums look weird without the ads...lol And occasionally firebird weirdly renders the position of some stuff now, but refreshing fixes that...eh

i beleive you have to exit firebird before saving, then save, then restart firebird.

Thanks edro...turns out i was looking in the Mozilla folder instead of the Phoenix folder. Man...the forums look weird without the ads.

I found it (PM icon), I removed this line:

td[valign="center"] > font.ftbodytext > a> img

However, by just removing that line ALL the ads come back.

EDIT: I removed just the " > a " and that fixed it. The Poll picture came back, but not the text. ??? Text

just to rub the ..

IE - IE2 - Avant - Opera people ..

hahhahaha .. no client side css.

plus .. Firebird has AdBlock as an extension .. click the ads away or add wildcards...

Heh, that's definitely a weird change...

I kinda felt it was easier to read without sentences run across so much of my screen anywho. Now I have to make my browser window a tad more narrow. Now vacuum seal me in a tin can and call me fruit...

I've been using this for quite some time.. and I thought that most Firebird users would've already known this :Q

You wrote your own .css file?

I just use AdBlock and I can right click and delete almost any image I want 🙂 Works great with large logos like in CNN.com

Ok, now that we have AT covered. Who voluteers to do the same for every other website? 😀 Someone can setup a website, a bunch of us could get the lowdown on how to do it then upload the necessary code to the website and voila! 😀
