Use motherboard audio or USB sound card included w/ Plantronics GameCom Commander?

Greetings all!

I picked up the Plantronics Gamecom Commander for a steal ($69.99) through Newegg's Shell Shocker sale. I have an Asus Maximus VI Hero motherboard, which has the Realtek ALC1150 sound chip. The headset comes included with a USB sound card that supports Dolby surround. Is it recommended to use the included USB sound card, or connect straight to the motherboard's onboard audio? I appreciate the help.

Regards,
Steve

err, try both?

Hey Steve, I assume the included usb sound card is designed and tweaked to work for this specific headphone but in the end it all depend on what you like. Try both and go from there.

Find some reviews online, see what people are saying.

I have the same problem as above, and I have muted it from both the headset and computer and the result is the same. Louder sound from computer through the program to the person that I am talking to. As for the applications, I have used Teamspeak, Razer Comms, Skype, and recording myself with all the same results. This seems to be a problem with the headphones themselves because no other set has done this and the problem persists throughout different computers, Operating Systems, and programs.
