I don't think you do, since the HDMI ports on a laptop are strictly HDMI-out.

What you could do instead is just use the appropriate sites and apps on Windows.

How does a Chromecast help if you don't mind me asking? It needs an internet source just like a laptop does.

How does a Chromecast rectify that? If it can't reach out to the wide web, it simply won't work. If you want to do local cast, it might just be easier to do something like ftp into your device.

It needs a network connection of its own, and now that you're casting, your phone is out of the equation.
