Use key from Games for Windows w/ Steam?

I'm interested in purchasing Stalker on Games for Windows, but I'd like to take the key and use it with Steam instead.

Is this possible?

Well, that solves that. Thanks for the help and the patience.Edit: Oh well, got it anyway. But I'll keep my EYE! on that list. Luckily when Gamestop had their 20$ New Vegas Black Friday Online sale, the key actually did work, transferring perfectly.

New Vegas uses Steamworks, and if you didnt have Steam installed it would have been installed by the installer, as its mandatory. Kinda rare for a non-Valve title.
