What kind of (insert four-letter word here) goes after married men?
And what kind of guy wants to get with that kind of female?
I'm guessing "girl" is the four letter word?![]()
Whatever works. :shrug;
No, really. What was the word?
Does it rhyme with "bunt?"

Approach this scientifically. Go to different bars over the course of two months. Allocate one-week blocks. Alternate wearing the ring or not for the week. Count the number of women who approach you during each week.
Let N1 = the number of women who approach you while you're wearing the ring; N2= the number of women who approach you while you're not wearing a ring.
Do a hypothesis test to see if N1 > N2 is statistically significant.

Some people are doing this, and I think it's wrong in the right way. Basically, a SINGLE guy would put on a wedding ring, hangs out at bars or popular restaurant at dinner time (to give the appearance of dreading of going home), and woman would strike conversations with the guy.
The guy in question would have a few fabricated stories ready to use, depends on the place and situation, and basically fooling these women into thinking that:
1. The guy is unavailable (which poses a challenge)
2. The guy won't be attached to the fling
3. Whatever other reasons that some women are attracted to married men...
Anyways, some of the guys said that this method do work, much better than hanging out at a bar and projecting the image of a single guy trying to land a deal, or worse, desperate.
Morally, I don't even know where to begin pointing out what is wrong with this. But what do you guys/gals think?

I think you just stick to the story of your "wife", "kids", and let the woman drive the course. "Married men" are suppose to be level headed and have the basic conversation skills, so I guess it does take some practice and a bit of confidence to play the part.Originally posted by: b0mbrman

So how do you transition from, "Yup, married, that's what this ring means" to "Ok, let's have sex"?

Same thing as lying, so if you think lying to pick up women is wrong then yep..
Some non married women wear wedding or engagement rings so guys will not hit on them
Who cares if you're deceiving women who are interested in married men?

You are only going to attract girls who don't really know what they want or know what they want and are manipulative. Bad idea.
Also, you will start relationships based on lying. Also not a good idea.

Then I suggest talking to your own gender about that.
Sorry, but this is not urban myth, and something I've proven myself. A male who is 'taken' is assumed more desireable by eligible women not because he's a challenge, but because somebody else thinks he's got good genetics.
Need I bring up "I'm waiting for him to leave his wife because I love him" which is uttered by a few zillion women each year.
This is bullshit. I see a wedding ring on a guy and I'm not gonna want to jump his bones. period.Originally posted by: SSSnail
