Question USB3 type A to type C

I was going to put adapters on my type A ports to type C ports.
I had hoped for a small adapter but they stick out a lot. :-(
USB2 type A to C adapters are small but the USB3 ones are really long.
Why can't they make short USB3 ones?

You should be more concerned with speed as not all adapters are made equally.

I've sourced a bunch of C adapters that hit at least 10gbps on devices that can handle the speed.

These all convert a C cable to their respective outputs. They all tested to the speeds each device would be capable of. They also allow for full charging speeds if using for power only.
