Usb wireless adapter

I am having trouble setting up network connections for a wireless usb port on a computer. I need to make a wireless connection. I have the verizon installation disk, but it didn't help as it couldn't connect to the router. I used to connect to the router by clicking on repair connection on the task manager with the right mouse button. Since the move the computer upstairs has to connect wirelessly now.

I'm not sure what the problem is. You have a wireless router and a wireless usb adapter. You've installed the drivers and such. Right?

Can you see your router in the wireless connection manager?

Look for a WEP or WPA key on the side of the router and type it in on the wireless pc.

You might want to connect the wireless router first to the computer so you can configure it. Start off without any security options until you establish connection. Then after you configure the wireless router, now configure the wireless USB NIC. It should connect automatically if you do not have any security options enabled.

192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1

Type that into a browser on the computer that the router is hooked up to. That should bring up the router config page.
