USB vs. PS/2 KVM Switch

I'm about to buy a KVM switch for working on multiple new builds at once and I'm not sure which style to buy. I'd rather go with the USB style but I'm worried that I'm going to have issues with the mobo bioses not supporting a USB keyboard. It's a pain to have to get another keyboard each time I want to get in the bios and, in part, defeats the purpose of a KVM switch. I could use a PS/2 keyboard with an adaptor if that would work.

I don't mind getting a PS/2 style switch but the uber-sensitive mouse I'd like to get is USB only and probably wouldn't work with an adaptor because of the large current draw (I could be talking out my butt about it not working). What do you guys think?
