USB VS. PCI???? Speed Difference?

Hi everyone: have had a USB network adapter for 2 1/2 years, as I was running Win98 at that time and was running out of interrupts.
Everything is still working fine with WinXP, but was wondering if I would see any speed difference going to a pci nic card??? ( I got 2 from the Dell deal).

the USB adapter is marked 10/100, and when hooked up to my router, the "100" light is lit- am I still limited by the USB interface???

USB interface is 12 Mbps isn't it?

The speed depends on what you're using the card for. If it's just to connect to a cable/DSL modem, then you shouldn't notice any difference since those hardly run above 3 Mbps.

Yeah the same guys that claim 1500? in Wireless distance, claim 100Mb/sec USB.

It does not matter which light is ON. USB to Ethernet modules are slow (and take more CPU power too).
