USB v.s. PP printer

Can someone tell me what the advantages are to using a USB v.s. PP printer connection? I recently purchased a printer that can connected through either method and was wondering if it was worth it to go buy a USB cable to hook it up.

USB tends to be faster than using the PP, however, the speed difference usualy isn't that astounding. If you're already happy with its performance, then you don't need to run out and buy a USB cable for it. For example, my printer (canon S630) prints about 2-4ppm more using the USB cable than it does when hooked through the parallel port.

if you have a costco near....you can get a USB cable for $6. Its a very good price compared to compusa(which would be around $15).
