Hello, I have a desktop that has access to my school's LAN. However, they only allow one user name to log on, and I want to log on with a laptop simultaineously. Is there a way via USB-UBS connection to network the desktop and laptop together, allowing the laptop and desktop to access the internet at the same time.

Basically, can i hook up the laptop to the desktop in order to get internet acces using a USB connection?

Connecting two computers, with regular USB cable, is good for one purpose!

A need to Blow up the Motherboard.

This occurs since you connect the 5V supplied to the USB port, either to the ground or to 5V of another computer.

You can connect the laptop to the main computer with eithernet cards and use sygate's software for the nat. The software allows two computers to connect to the net using the same isp without the isp being able to detect the second computer, but the best way is to use a router with a builtin firewall and nat, such as the SMC Barricade router.
