Poo...read a little more and it seems not to be useful in most cases ;(

Will not work.

THIS CABLE WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO CONNECT YOUR COMPUTER'S VGA PORT TO THE COMPONENET INPUT ON YOUR HDTV unless your video card supports component out function through it's VGA port (please confirm with your video cards documentation before purchasing)

Hi,
I have just seen a press-release on engaget about Atlona USB to HDMI, do yuo guys have any idea how well it works? I want to connect my laptop to Samsung 46'' and tv has no VGA input, but plenty of HDMI connectors. What do you think?
Here is a model: AT-HDPiX
http://atlona.com/Atlona-USB-t...Pre-Order-p-17691.html

That is simply a usb video card with HDMI connector.
Probably doesn't have the best performance for a video card.
Might be okay for watching movies, etc, but anything more intense like gaming is out of the question. Looks to be targeting the folks that want to display things like powerpoint on large lcd.
