USB switch for keyboard/mouse?

Has anyone ever used one of these as a switch for a keyboard/mouse (I have a USB keyboard with a built-in hub)? I don't need video switching (its built in to my monitor), and this appears to be a good option.

Any potential problems? Thanks for the input.

Any idea if the machine is going to have to "reinstall hardware" every time there is a switch?

It shouldn't reinstall everytime, It's USB... If anything it will just be redetected... ( takes what, a whole 2 seconds 😉 )

 
I use something very similar (though it's a full KVM). USB switches very quickly. Maybe a 1 second lag when switching.
