USB shuts down my comp?

I have a wireless mouse receiver plugged in, (USB) but whenever i plug in my G15 keyboard, 5 seconds later my computer shuts down... The keyboard being a large power draw is my only thought atm, as the whole thing lights up and it has an LCD display, while the mouse receiver has like no power draw at all...

any ideas?

Years back, when those particular boards were popular, it was pretty well-known that you couldn't use a USB keyboard with them. I'm not sure if they ever figured out why, and released an updated BIOS for it, or not, but you should probably check. You may be stuck with using a good ol' $5 PS/2 keyboard, for now.

maybe buy a cheap usb pci card.

uh, i used it for about 1/2 year before it started doing this... so, i guess i'll try the usb card
