USB ps2 adapter problem.

Im using a USB to PS2 adapter for my optical mouse. It works great , but for some reason it doesnt save my mouse speed settings, adn ill always have to adjust them when i come into windows. any ideas?
 
This is hardly adapter-related... Reinstall that driver software and any additional utilities that came with he mouse.

I wouldn't use the PS2 adapter because USB's "refresh rate" of the mouse is much higher, so you will get smoother "motion" (tracking).
