hmm ok well i got an MSI 6380 kt266 pro-2 A. Windows XP. When i use a usb logitech webcam, after a little bit, or so it seems when i doing allot of harddrive usage, it just dies (the usb) and it also knocks out my usb mouse.... it only happens when the cam is being used tho, so it seems like a power issue maybe?? eek help!

Im no USB guru, but each usb controller (or hub, or something) has a limited amount of power available to it. Try putting the mouse on a different usb controller to the webcam and see if that helps. There's some way to check the power usage on each usb controller, though damned if i can remember how - fiddle though Control Panel or Device manager probably. If usb power is not the problem - tbh i'd expect excessive power needs to stop either the mouse or cam not working soon as theyre both turned on - then could be many options for problems elsewhere. I power IS the problem and dont have another USB controller, try buying a self-powered USB hub or maybe cn put a USB-PS2 converter on the mouse (my MS intellipoint optical came with one, cant say if other mice would be ok).

dunno if this site is much use to you but might as well give url - http://www.usbman.com/
checking logitech website for known problems or even doing a google search for problems with your cam might bring something up too.
