I'm having a problem figuring out what my problem is... Here's what happens: when my computer goes to screen saver, I lose my keyboard and mouse (wireless). I get these working again by restarting the pc but then my hp printer says it's disconnected.

At first, I thought it was the printer and tried uninstalling and installing the printer but couldn't get through the install. I completely disconnected everything and took it in for repair. When they plugged it in, the pc saw the printer and finished the install. I got it home, plugged it in and everything was fine including printing. As soon as it went to screen saver, the keyboard and mouse died again. I restarted, the keyboard and mouse came on but the hp was once again disconnected. Any thoughts on where the problem lies??

All are USB
Win XP SP2

this sounds stupid, but everytime I go SP2 from SP-0, I usually get cramps in the Win XP identifies my USB controllers. It's stupid, but I have to go: SP-0, SP1, then SP2.
I've had two diff. mobo's (P4's) and had to do this to get my USB's to work right.

Because SP1 has the USB drivers, somehow SP2 hasn't done it well enuff.

Otherwise, consult BIOS - they can get very ugly with USB devices.
