Friend dropped her iPhone in water, she put it in rice for 4 days, but it's still not working right. WHen I plug it to my PC it automatically turns on, I see the Apple logo and it shuts off and shows the battery symbol. If I plug it directly to the wall it boots all the way up. Wifi/BT/Data all don't work so the phone is pretty much done for. But she wants me to get her pics off.
I've tried to get it into DFU mode, but with how it reboots on it's own when it's plugged into a USB port, I can't quite get it. My question is this, if I go out and buy a powered usb hub would that possibly give it enough juice to stay on? My MB is an ASRock with Fast Charge, but I'm assuming it's not giving enough power as the iPhone works on the wall but not on the computer. If I unplug it from the wall while it's on it instantly shuts off.
The pics are all on there, I can see them when it's hooked to the wall and on, but since I can't get DFU mode the powered USB hub is the only thing I can come up with.
Any other suggestions?
