I bought this really cool, internal usb/firewire combo hub that fits into the 3 1/2" floppy bay. Connected it all, and fired it up. Everything (usb mouse, flightsim yoke, scanner (for the usb) and a DV cam (for the firewire)), works fine with the hub EXCEPT my HP Smartcam 315 digital camera. When I connect the camera and turn it on, the MS software to read the camera starts, but just hangs. The camera and software works fine when i plug into the USB port on the motherboards i/o panel. I've gone into safe mode to unload the device and let WinME find it again. I've also booted up with the camera on, but that didnt work either. HP support is very slow to replay, so I thought I might check here.

Any ideas?

When I installed my Belkin USB hub, I had to re-install my camera software. For some reason, when I installed the hub, the software would open up(not automaticall albeit) but not recognize the camera. As soon as I re-installed the software, everything worked hunky dorey.
