USB PCI card and usb keyboard

If I have usb keyboard enabled in the bios and its plugged into a addon pci card instead of the onboard one will it work on boot up?
 
Why wouldn't it! The onboard USB ports use the same PCI bus as a PCI card does. Not much difference between the two.
