USB Mouse inop after Sleep in windows 7

Has anyone been having issues with loosing the usb mouse in windows 7 after returning from sleep mode? To wake the computer out of sleep mode i need to click a mouse button, keyboard strokes do no seem to work. It is only when I click the mouse that the computer will resume. After that though, I will need to unplug the usb mouse and plug it back in for it to work, a reboot won't even work. I assume the same problem would exist with a usb keyboard or any other usb device, but my keyboard is serial. This is only the second day using windows 7 so im still a bit new, but I never had this issue with XP. Thanks for any insight.

Enable the Hardware support for the USB Kbd and Mouse in the Mobo's BIOS.

Look at the Advanced Power Options and make sure that the Kbd and USB sections are configured the way you like it.
