I just bought a USB memory stick from BBY. When I plugged it into the USB port, the system autoinstalled the drivers, but I don't see the device under My Computer. Any ideas?

Either the drivers are poor, so get the proper ones from the BBY website and install them.
OR, the memory stick is loose in the port/ the port is faulty?
Or the memory stick itself is a dud, so send it back.

Test if other things work in the port, if not, then its the port somehow, altho i doubt it.

SEND the damn thing back and get a different one.

Hope that helped!

I downloaded the most current drivers from the Buslink website - didn't work

Memory stick is fully inserted in the port; fits tightly. The port is confirmed to be operational.

I'll test the memory stick on another computer. I'll end up returning it and getting a new one anyway.

Thanks for the suggestion.

another thought.

If you're running WinXP or Windows 2000, try this.

Right Click "My Computer" and choose Manage
Click on "Disk Management"
Do you see it listed there?

It's possible it's installed, but not yet assigned a drive letter or partitioned.....
