I am installing some wireless usb adapters for a school. What I wanted to know is there any type of device or lock out there that can keep that device locked into the usb port? So say a wondering student doesnt decide hey I can use that and walks off with it?

None that I can think of short of putting the box in a locking cabinet of some sort.

I wouldn't go USB if it were me anyways. I'm of the opinion that internal is almost always better. Why are you using USB?

I'm with alevasseur14 on this I would go with internal unless you are out of room. I have not seen a way to lock a USB device.

How about hot glue? It's strong enough that someone probably can't just walk off with it, yet you can get it back off if you really need to.

If you have a machine shop in that school you can probably design something that will lock onto the case and cover the entire wireless card. Could be bulky and ugly though.
