USB Key Drive

So once again I need your experience and help. I am looking to get a USB key. Around 512 memory. I just don't know who is good in the field or anything like that. I am probably going to get it from new egg. Any help is appreciated!

Just read the reviews on newegg to get an idea of read/write speed, etc. Another thing to consider is the cap design and if it will become lost easy and how much room it will take when plugged in.

Take one with 2 years warranty (or more) if you find it. I bought one USB key drive with a blue activity LED (made by Canyon I think)

Look on the hot deals section for the best price - lots of times that isn't newegg with all the rebates floating around...

Lexar & PNY would be my choices as well; I have a 512meg Lexar and several 128meg PNYs. amdskip wisely pointed out that the cap/key size can be important, especially if you're going to potentially use it in unknown machines. Some PC makers have cases with very narrow ports and/or spacing for USB devices, so having a smaller designed key(or a spare USB extension cable) makes a lot of sense. 😉

@ KingCheeba:

That might be a good idea. It's for my teacher and I imagine if some kids steal it or something, they wouldn't be able to use it. Thank so much for everyone who responded!
