Has anyone modded the case to where you can have easy access to the usb ports in the front? Im considering doing this if I can find the right setup.

I think there are some bay adapters you can purchase and stick them in a 5 1/4" bay and just route the wires to it. Got the flu so I'm not going to look around, but I think I've seen them out there.

I was planning on doing a front usb project. I have an Asus A7V133 it came with a riser card for putting 2 more USB at the back. My plan was to unscrew the little PCB from the metal riser super glue it to the little plastic ledge one the 3.5" face plate. Have 2 holes for the ports cut out of the face plate and place it in the 3.5" drive bay.

Its a pretty simple little mod, very cheap and it matches.

hey all, I did it no with additional purchases

I have an a7v, and placed the usb on a 5 1/4 bay.
just removed the bracket that attached the usb ports to the pci slot, put it between 2 large blocks of wood and hammered it flat. The beauty of using this bracket is that it already has one screw hole, I just drilled another on the other side.

next I outlined a rectangle on the 5 1/4 plastic plate from the case (the 7 bay enlight model, don't remember the #) and used a drill bit to grind away at the sides to make an opening (didn't have a dremmel).
Finally I drilled holes into the plastic to line up with the pci plate, reattached the usb ports onto the plate, and screwed it all together. Oh, and make sure the chord from the usb ports will still be able to reach the jacks on the usb ports.

Hope this helps, and sorry all this was so rushed. Hope it helps.
