USB hub dead?

I've been running a newpoint 4 connection USB hub off my mb, which has 4 usb outputs and everything was working great. But now the hub is dead, no power or lites. I have two of these and checked with my other on this computer as well and feel it must be a software problem. The mb ports all work fine and I'm running winME.

Any ideas how to reinstall usb support if its off board or must it be the hub itself or something changed in bios? I run an epox mb with amd 760 cs.
 
A hub of that nature should have an external power brick of its own. If that is not there or has gone bad, the hub will be dead.
