I've bought USB KVMs in the past (Belkin's) and unfortunately, when I plug my USB mouse into it, when I connect the KVM to each PC, it detects it as a 'generic mouse' instead of actually swapping USB entirely to pick up again when I swap PCs.
It's important for me, because I have an MX518 with on-the-fly DPI switching and I need to be able to use this on my gaming machine, as well as switch between PCs. I don't care much about the software support on the other PCs, but I'd prefer it if the PCs detected the mouse and keyboard for exactly what they are -- not generics.
Any ideas on what products might do this?
