Is there a way I could connect the speakers and usb headset simultaneously so that they would both produce sound and etc. etc.? The speakers is in the format of that green audio jack but the headset is a usb and I don't believe my comp is picking up the headset.
Well the problem is the system IDs the onboard sound and the USB headset as 2 differnt sound sourses and Windows only allws out put to a singe sound source at a time. Now if you had regular headphones you could plug them in and still get the sound from your speakers since they are coming off the same sound source.
Are you trying to have game sounds through your regular speaker setup and voice comm through the headset? Because if so, I've generally found that to suck. Your mic picks up a ton of game noise and makes communication a chore.
I just swap connections when going from headset for online gaming to speakers for other stuff.
