My friend has a Maxtor 160GB hard drive on 98se. It works fine most of the time, but sometimes on large files it will be writing and then the light just stays on and it stops doing work. I have to just turn it off and back on. It seems like maybe if I let it sit there long enough it might finish but I dont know. Anyways I tries checking the removable box in system propereties which seemed to help some but not totally. any help appreciated
