usb flash drives

I have used several Lexar Jump drives - all excellent. They came in as Editor's CHoice in a magazine review last year.

Check to make sure the device is listed as Hi-Speed USB2.0. There are 3 levels of transfer rates on the devices and Hi-Speed means it utilizes the higher transfer speeds.

I had the 512mb Sandisk Cruzer Micro (different from the Mini) and was very unimpressed with the speeds. It really didn't seem that much faster than my old 128mb USB1.1 flash drive.

If you must have a Gig, SanDisk's Cruzer Mini would be my recommendation as well. If 512 will suit you, go for the Cruzer Titanium.

I have a Kingston 2 gb elite and it is awesome and the fastest. If you have the money I suggest getting a similar drive. I believe they also make 1 gb.
