USB Flash Drive

I have a number of windows 98 computers hanging around, and I've been able to use some flash drives (usb keys, pendrives, whatever the name is for them) in the past. But I'd like to have a generic driver that will support many or all of these devices.

I do have one type of drive that XP identifies as "USB NAND FLASH DISK USB Device" and which I can't get to work with any of the drivers I've found on the net. Since this is the only one I can't get to work so far, a driver that would help there would also be very useful, even if there is no generic driver.

The only thing I haven't tried that I can think of is isolating the usb mass storage driver from Windows ME and trying to use that, which I doubt will work!

Does anyone have a good generic driver, or any better ideas?

(note - tried 'tech support', but I guess this isn't really a 'problem', so I killed the post there and am trying here)

Thanks - Actually I haven't tried their driver (I don't think I have anyway).

I remember trying Lexar, Kanguru, pendrive, disk-on-key, M-systems UMSD (or something like that) and a couple of others. I did eventually bog down from having to reboot so much:(

I can download the sandisk driver from their page right? I'll give it a try tonight.

The disk in question is a gateway 16mb model (Bought very cheap)

It doesn't claim to have a 98 driver, which I knew, and figured I'd give it a try when I got it.

A universal driver would be fantastic, but the net doesn't seem to have one that I can find; only one or two people looking for one for a lab that they want people to be ale to use flash drives.
