Have an odd problem with a 2 GB USB stick which works in my desktop computer but not in my laptop. Plus I have another identical stick that works fine in both.
The problem stick seems fine and gives the appropriate sound when plugged into the laptop but there is no drive letter associated with it in Explorer. When going to disk management the device is listed but I am unable to format it, or change drive letters, and I get an ?unexpected error? message.
I have tried removing the ?USB mass storage device? from device manager and reformatting the stick on the desktop machine to no avail (using Win 7 on both machines BTW).
Any Ideas?
