USB Drive help

Hi guys i put the USB in the drive and it doesn't show on the desktop it shows on the Disks formating aplication any help thanks
 
It should also show up in the file manager. I think it's called Caja in Mate. I'm not in front of my Gnome2 desktop atm, so I can't tell how to get it to show icons on the desktop.
